Most of the story-line revolves around a secret new explosive that a scientist has invented, which the villains would obviously love to get their hands on. Some of the better moments come when the main action interferes with Drummond's plans to marry Phyllis (Louise Campbell), while flustering the befuddled but ever-helpful Algy (Reginald Denny).
John Barrymore is always good fun as Colonel Neilson, and he makes good use of his opportunities here, while E.E. Clive does likewise as the quick-witted Tenny.

Another Fine "Bulldog Drummond" Film
This is the second time I have viewed this film. It is very good. John Barrymore has the top billing (all in capital letters no less), but plays a secondary role to John Howard,, Louise Campbell, Reginald Denny, and E.E. Clive. This fine film has a good plot, is paced just right, and comes to a satisfactory conclusion. John Howard continues to do well in the role of Captain Hugh Drummond. A very enjoyable film in the series.

Another good episode in the Bulldog Drummond series with the same cast as in Bulldog Drummond's Peril. The events here precede those in Peril.
I downloaded the 'DivX' file, which is really AVI format with DivX video and mp3 audio. Video and audio quality are OK.
